The Magic of adult Friendships & Finding Your People

The right friendships never make you question your worth- they reflect it back to you.

Here's a touchy subject: adulthood and friendships—no one warns you how complicated it can be! We outgrow relationships, navigate guilt and resentment, and sometimes wonder if we’ll ever find where we truly belong. It’s not always easy to find your people, but when you do? It changes everything.

Recently, I went on a girls’ trip with over a dozen women from my networking group. Some of us are incredibly close, spending a lot of time together, while others were more like acquaintances. I had no idea what to expect, but I went in with the mindset of kindness, finding the best in people, and simply having FUN. To my absolute joy, everyone else came in with the same energy. The result? One of the best weeks ever.

This trip reminded me of something important: relationships aren’t about the amount of time spent together—they’re about the quality of the conversations and the effort put in. When we show up with openness, intention, and a genuine desire to connect, something beautiful happens. We create a space where we can be ourselves, support each other, and truly feel seen.

And isn’t that what today, International Women’s Day, is all about? Celebrating the women who show up for us, support us, and inspire us. Women who remind us that we don’t have to do life alone. Women who come from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, yet still find common ground in laughter, deep conversations, and the simple joy of being together.

What I’ve learned over the years is that once you experience true, aligned connection, you realize you deserve nothing less. It’s not about forcing friendships or fitting into a mold—it’s about honoring yourself. It's about knowing what kind of energy feels good to be around, and allowing relationships to naturally evolve. When you find people who match, receive, and welcome your energy, TRUST ME, you’ll know. And when you do, hold onto them, nurture those connections, and celebrate them often.

I hope you take a moment to recognize the incredible women in your life—the ones who lift you up, who make you laugh until you cry, who remind you of your worth, and who simply get you. We all unique strengths that deserve to be seen, celebrated, and shared.

So here’s to the women who show up, the friendships that breathe life into us, and the connections that remind us we’re never alone!

May we find them, may we cherish them, and may we always be them.
